2008 Hope and Homes for Children Triathlon

Recently, our Patron, Nick Hewer (from the popular BBC series The Apprentice) visited our projects in Rwanda where he saw first hand the impact our work is having to change the lives of vulnerable individuals.

Nick, who has seen many wannabe Apprentices come and go, was most struck by the young entrepreneurs he met. For example, Francois (pictured left), a 15 year old boy, who with a loan of £20 got his peanut business off the ground. Within 9 weeks of trading Francois had made enough money to pay back his loan. Francois is now excited about expanding his business in the future. Find out more about Nick’s visit by watching our short film.
