Why do I have to give my estimated swim time? As there are over 200 competitors competing in the event we need to spilt the swim into waves. We need your estimated swim time so that we can put you in a wave with competitors of a similar swim standard. As a guide the average swim time for the 2007 event was 10 mins 30 seconds. Are you entering as part of a team? Teams should consist of four people, the fastest three times will go towards your overall team time. This is not a relay event, all team members complete the whole course.
